Advertio was created to help small businesses advertise online — even if they’re not experts in this area.
In order to reach this goal, we knew we had to bet on Artificial Intelligence and create a smart assistant that could fulfil all the steps needed to create an ad in each social network. This meant that this assistant not only had to be able to write engaging ad copy and choose images according to the selected social network, but it also had to pick the best audience for each ad, the right keywords and provide budget estimations.
This was not an easy or clear-cut path. We worked hard every day to improve our models and algorithms and now our AI Assistant Anna is capable of all that — and much more.
#Deciding how much help you want
Once you start creating your campaign, you’ll first have to choose if you want to create a traditional or performance campaign.
We wrote an article focused on this a few weeks ago, so if you’re not 100% sure which to choose, visit this link.
Next, it’s time to decide how much help you want from Anna. She’ll be there to guide you through every step of the campaign creation process and it’s up to you to decide how much you want her to intervene.

If you don’t feel comfortable creating the ads yourself or you don’t really know what to write or which keywords to use, you should choose the “automatic creation mode”. Anna will create all the ads for you by suggesting which copy, image, audience and keywords to use so you don’t have to worry about it. That being said, you can always review what Anna creates and make changes to the ads she creates..
If, on the other hand, you want to be the one creating your ads, once you’ve chosen your business, language and campaign mode, you should select the “manual creation” mode. Here, you’ll be in charge of the entire process. If at any time you need some help, you can always ask Anna for suggestions by clicking on her + symbol on mobile, or on her image on desktop.

Deciding which type of campaign you want ultimately comes down to how you want to measure its performance and results.
#Picking and editing Anna’s suggestions
As mentioned above, no matter what type of campaign you choose, you’re always in charge of your ads. This means you can always edit Anna’s suggestions regarding ad copy, image choice, audience selection or keywords.
This is important because even though Anna’s suggestions are pretty accurate, she still makes a few small mistakes from time to time. We always encourage people to double-check her suggestions, even if 9 times out of 10 she nails every one.
At the same time, you can always use her suggestions and additionally create more versions manually. Why is this useful? Because this way you’ll have better chances at reaching your potential audience because you’ll have more ads, audiences or keywords. For example, if Anna suggests an audience, you can still create another one manually and use both in your campaign, increasing your reach. Did she suggest some keywords but you’d like to add a few more? No problem. You can always do that either right away when you’re creating the campaign, or later on by editing it.
Here’s an example of how to edit her suggestions:

Lastly, you can also use Anna to get an estimate of how much you should spend according to your goals. When you get to the budget step, you’ll see three different budget packs with different goals and prices. This way, you know what to expect and can plan your strategy with that in mind. If you don’t want to use any of Anna’s suggestions, you can always add a custom amount, where you’ll also see a recommendation regarding how much you should spend to reach the number of goals you choose.
